On Magick

Altar Enhanced 1

This article is intended for those who have already read the brief post called Magick Vs. Sorcery and who are ready to move into further understanding of the categories of Magick.

Those who already understand that Magick is simply the Art and Science of influencing change to occur in accordance with the Will may yet be unaware of or have confusion regarding the various styles, modalities, and traditions of Magick.

So, let us de-mystify the details concerning Magick. This article is based on over a decade of Low Magick experience and further years of study in the Western Magickal Tradition under the guidance of respected mystery school teachers, in addition to rigorous independent study, and will divulge important specifics about the occulted subject of Magick.

Definitions of Magick

First things first: Let us repeat the definition of Magick as defined by the Gray Magician Aleister Crowley. Magick is the Art and Science of causing change to occur in conformity with Will. The reason that Magick is considered Art is because we can experiment and create new methods. Magick is a Science because it can be repeated with success. It should also be noted that Aleister Crowlely chose to spell the word Magick with a “k” to differentiate it from stage magic and this spelling has since become a convention among Light-workers.

Other Golden Dawn Magicians such as Dion Fortune (author of Mystical Qabalah) considered Aleister Crowley’s definition to be the most accurate definition of Magick, except she believed that Magickal change is a change in consciousness rather than a change in external material circumstances. This means that if the practitioner of Magick were to, for example, wish for improved health, then after the Magick ritual has been performed, the Magician’s own psyche will have improved. His or her subconscious mind or limbic system will have been commanded and activated with the intention of improved health so that he/she will subconsciously begin to make better decisions that will lead to improved health…as if by Magick!

Dion Fortune is correct, and any accomplished Magus can attest that this is exactly how Magick works. To the inexperienced Light-worker, the psychological mechanism behind how Magick works may not initially sound as appealing as the idea of externalized entities such as angels or elementals ushering in magickal results to you from afar. However, once you witness substantial positive results and realize the enormous power that is available to you from within your own psyche, the psychological basis behind Magick becomes all the more exciting.

Donald Michael Kraig, a contemporary authority on Magick and the author of Modern Magick, expands on Aleister Crowley’s definition of Magick as follows: Magick is the Science and Art of causing change (in consciousness) to occur in conformity with will, by means not currently understood by Western science. He expands on the definition, not only to highlight the change in consciousness, but also to make clear that Magick is not supernatural; It is a perfectly natural phenomenon that scientific institutions have not yet been able or bothered to explain.

Another distinction to make in the definition of Magick is what kind of change constitutes Magick? Does a trivial act such as walking across a room or brewing a cup of tea count as a magickal act? That depends on who you ask. Donald Michael Kraig doesn’t think so, but Aleister Crowley believed that “every intentional act is a Magickal Act.” Perhaps Crowley was correct. It may be the case that the more enlightened (or aligned with Truth) that one becomes, the more one’s entire life becomes a series of magickal rites of passage leading to the completion of that one grand Magickal goal: the completion of the Great Work. The Great Work can be summed up as obtaining Knowledge and Conversation with one’s Holy Guardian Angel or Higher Self.

According to the occult expert Michael Tsarion, yet another definition of Magick can be paraphrased as a creative output that affects someone on all four levels of the self –spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. For instance, the music of a great band that has the power to profoundly transform someone on all four of these levels can be considered a form of Magick.

Magick can also be looked at as “Light-work,” and many practitioners of Magick identify as Light-workers instead of Magicians in order to distinguish themselves from stage magicians or illusionists. In order to understand what Light-work is, we must understand the properties of Light. To reference Michael Tsarion’s article Light, Magic, and Masonry, “the essence of all cognitive processes is light,” which emanates from the “dark soil of emotion.” It can also be said that the structures of the left-brain arise from and digitize the vision of the right-brain and limbic system or emotional world, giving us the output of an apparently hard material world. Therefore, the light that we experience as visual reality consists of both knowledge and emotions, perhaps more so than it consists of light emanating from the Sun. This internal psychic and bio-energetic light is the substance that the Light-worker wields in order to create positive influence and it is the same light that a sorcerer wields to blind and bedazzle others with, while hiding behind the shadows that it casts.

Along with these definitions of Magick, always bear in mind that true uplifting Magick or Light-work must be performed in alignment with the Higher Will, the True Self, Universal Consciousness, or God. This distinction between Magick and sorcery bears repeating because the moment that the so-called “magick” is being conducted in alignment with the fear-based false will of the ego is the moment that White Magick turns to gray or even black. It can then, no longer be considered Magick, as it is now sorcery. We will expand on these styles of Magick next.

Three Styles

Now that we have a few good definitions of Magick understood, we can organize Magick even further into the primary three styles. The style category of Magick is where we discuss the moral implications of conducting Magick versus sorcery. Again, the prerequisite information of the difference between Magick versus sorcery can be read in the short post Magick Vs. Sorcery, but once it is clearly understood that the key difference between the two lies in the alignment of one’s will, then one can consciously choose to practice one of the following three styles of Magick:

  • White Magick

  • Gray Magick

  • Black “magick” (sorcery)

White Magick

Referencing back to Donald Michael Kraig’s Modern Magick, the idea behind the White variety of Magick is that it is a Western approach to Yoga, which means Union (Union with the Higher Self, Source, or God). This take on White Magick is similar to Aleister Crowley’s definition of the Great Work: “attainment of Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel.”

It is important to note that this interpretation of White Magick has very little if anything to do with accumulating material belongings or improved circumstances for the self or for others, because White Magick is all about positive internal changes. It is about getting oneself in alignment with Truth, in alignment with Natural Law morality, and having that Knowledge and Conversation with one’s Holy Guardian Angel.

Donald Michael Kraig’s definition of White Magick is as follows:

“White Magick is the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with will, using means not currently understood by traditional Western science, for the purpose of obtaining the Knowledge and Conversation of your Holy Guardian Angel.”

However, because Kraig does not make the disctintion between Higher Will and lower will and does not include Natural Law in his definition of White Magick, here is an improved definition of White Magick:

White Magick is the Art and Science of influencing change to occur in accordance with the Will and with Natural Law morality, for the purpose of obtaining Knowledge and Conversation with one’s Holy Guardian Angel or Higher Self and completing the Great Work.

Gray Magick

Let’s move on now to Gray Magick. In terms of morality, Gray Magick is neutral. The goal of Gray Magick is to cause a positive change for yourself or for others, whether a material or non-material change. This style of Magick is not necessarily up to par with one’s highest aim, although it can be. Conversely, Gray Magick is not necessarily in contradiction to one’s Great Work or to Natural Law morality. However, if the Magus is not consciously practicing the Magick, he or she is likely to go astray from the moral neutrality of Gray Magick. This is because the moment that the practitioner becomes misaligned with the Higher Will or Natural Law principles is the moment the practitioner starts conducting Black “magick” or sorcery.

An example of Gray Magick that happens to be in alignment with the Higher Will is the attempt to influence the change needed in order to acquire monetary resources. If the Light-worker acquires these resources through Right Livelihood (doing moral work that doesn’t harm others) and ends up using the money to aid in self-improvement, then perhaps both Gray and White Magick have been executed. But, if this same wielder of Magick chooses to squander their newfound money on frivolous luxuries and vices, then plain old Gray Magick has been performed.

Kraig’s definition of Gray Magick:

“Grey Magick is the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with will, using means not currently understood by traditional Western science, for the purpose of causing either physical or non-physical good to yourself or others, and is done either consciously or unconsciously.”

With that definition in mind, here is an updated definition of Gray Magick:

Gray Magick is the Art and Science of influencing change to occur in accordance with the Higher and/or lower will and Natural Law morality for the purpose of causing either material or non-material good for oneself or others.

Black "magick" (sorcery)

And that brings us finally to Black “magick,” so-called, which is really just sorcery. This is because “Black Magick” is an oxymoron. At first glance, the definitions of Magick and sorcery appear to be almost identical. Here is the comparison:

Magick: the Art and Science of causing change to occur in accordance with the Will.

Sorcery: the Art and Science of causing change to occur in accordance with the will.

The key difference between the application of White Magick and sorcery lies in whether the practitioner is in alignment with the Higher Will or the lower fear-based false will of the ego, respectively.

Kraig’s definition of Black “magick”:

“Black Magick is the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with will, using means not currently understood by traditional Western science, for the purpose of causing either physical or non-physical harm to yourself or others, and is done either consciously or unconsciously.”

However, it should be mentioned that sorcery is not always performed with the primary objective of causing harm to others. In fact, sorcery might be performed with the positive outcomes of Gray Magick in mind, but with a misalignment to Natural Law morality, so that violence or harm might be employed against others as a means to an end.

Updated definition of sorcery:

Black “magick” (sorcery) is the Art and Science of influencing change to occur in accordance with the lower will and in discordance with Natural Law morality, by violating another’s free-will, inner world, or property, for the purpose of obtaining a perceived benefit or for the purpose of harming others.

An example of sorcery is the person who desires the acquisition of money and high social status who accepts a job opportunity as an evening news anchor and will be paid to routinely lie to the public. This sorcerer, the news anchor, will achieve their goal by disregarding Natural Law morality through the theft of truthful information and, therefore, the manipulation of others’ free-will choice. Since this person’s desire was in accordance with the false lower will, this person manifested an immoral job opportunity and then acted as a sorcerer by performing the job.

For anyone considering partaking in sorcery, it is well-worth taking into account the inevitable negative consequences that will emerge as a result. Whether you call it Universal or Natural Law, Consequentialism, the Golden Rule, the Wiccan Rede, etc., rest assured that the Principle of Cause and Effect is in motion.

As Aleister Crowley once said in The Sunday Dispatch, 1933 on the topic of being accused of being a “black magician:”

I despise the thing to such an extent that I can hardly believe in the existence of people so debased and idiotic as to practice it.”

To avoid the potential for negative consequences of sorcery, the Light-worker should regularly check in with the Higher Self. By doing so, the Light-worker will gain awareness of his/her alignment or misalignment with the Universal Will. He/she will then have the opportunity to deliberately select a magickal style with conscious awareness of the likely consequences.

Three Modalities

There are also three modalities, or methods for implementing Magick. The modality is the action behind the Magick, and these modalities include the following categories:

  • Spirit Magick

  • Energy Magick

  • Sigil Magick

Spirit Magick

Lavender Consciousness Free Pixabay

Spirit Magick involves working with the Psyche or Spirit. Essentially, Spirit Magick is working with Consciousness.

There are two methods of Spirit Magick, which include invocations and evocations. To invoke Spirit is to channel or take a spiritual energy or archetype into oneself. For instance, one might choose to invoke the Archangel Gabriel (representative of Care, emotions, feelings, and sensitivity) by surrounding oneself with the color blue, jasmine incense, thinking of the moon, the autumn season and the water element, and then chanting the name Gabriel. This is an example of a meditation that will allow the characteristics or quality of this archetype to come through to the practitioner. Another example of an invocation is when an actor channels the personality, ego, or the spirit of a fictional character into themselves on stage.

The next mode of practicing Spirit Magick is to evoke or summon an entity. Whether you believe that a particular ethereal entity exists or even can be evoked, the idea behind this practice is that an entity (whether a diety, angel, demon, elemental, etc.) can be summoned before you.

Energy Magick

Energy Magick is a modality that involves building bio-energy in the Magician, because energy is required to perform a magickal act. Some of the ways to increase bio-energy include performing Tantric breathing exercises or Pranayama such as Breath of Fire, doing energy work or Qigong, performing rituals such as the Middle Pillar, or doing any activity that increases vitality. Some of the most effective and practical ways to perform Energy Magick include eating healthy vibrant foods, drinking pure filtered water, and getting adequate sleep and exercise. A Light-worker can derive energy from plants, animals, or crystals, whether through consumption or proximity, but a true Light-worker who is in alignment with Natural Law morality should never take the life of another sentient being unless there is a self-defense or survival need to do so.

Sigil Magick

Sigil Magick 1

Sigil Magick involves working with a sigil or a symbol that represents a desire. In brief, the process of performing Sigil Magick includes making the sigil, charging it, and then activating it. This form of Magick is, again, working with internal processes or internal change to fulfull the desire.

The basic steps of Sigil Magick are to first create the sigil by drawing or otherwise constructing a symbol representative of one’s desire. Ideally, it is best to develop amnesia of what the sigil represents before moving on to the next steps. A sort of amnesia can be acquired by simply allowing time to pass before moving on to the next steps. The practitioner would then charge the sigil through gazing at it while in a state of gnosis or trance. The last step is to activate the sigil, usually by burning it or thrusting towards it with The Enterer pose. Finally, think “Set it and forget it,” trusting that the Magickal process is in the works. Through this process of sigil Magick, the desire or goal that the sigil represents will be imprinted onto the subconscious mind and the necessary steps will be carried out unconsciously by the Light-worker. The subconscious mind will do its work to imprint the desire back onto the conscious mind and into manifested reality.

Three Traditions

Last of all, there are three primary traditions when working with Magick. These traditions have much more to do with personal or aesthetic preference than they have to do with morality or efficacy. Many Light-workers gravitate towards traditions that resonate with them through their ancestral background or their natural temperament. For the best results, choose a tradition that will serve to balance the masculine and feminine components of the psyche. The three traditions are:

  • High Magick

  • Low Magick

  • Chaos Magick

High Magick

LBRP Diagram Free Wikimedia Commons

High Magick should not be thought of as better than Low Magick. Essentially, what High Magick entails is working with Magick in a formalized, ceremonial, or ritualistic way. High Magick is otherwise known as Ceremonial Magick or Ritual Magick. Think of it as a complex practice that is based in long-standing traditions with plenty of rules and a lot to memorize in the way of Astrology, symbolism, mantras, mudras, etc. Historically, High Magick would be reserved for the wealthier classes or those who were literate and could read sacred texts or record their work in grimoires.

A fitting example of High Magick (or sorcery, as it applies) is a Catholic Mass, wherein a newcomer would probably find themselves confused and unable to participate due to the complexity of the rituals. High Magick is the approach that the Western Mystery Schools such as the Golden Dawn teach.

Light-workers of a more masculine, “fiery,” or “airy” temperament, whether male or female, are likely to prefer or gravitate towards High Magick. This is Magick for the Western mind or left-brain oriented people and most of the traditions under High Magick tend to revere the masculine dieties or archetypes. It should be duly noted that, as Aleister Crowley suggests in Magick: Liber ABA, Book 4, the Magus who has heavy feminine, “earth,” or “water” energy in their astrological birth chart should incorporate work with the masculine aspects of the psyche— Will and the intellect, in order to counteract or balance a predominantly feminine, feminised, or right-brain imbalanced psyche.

Low Magick

Wiccan Magick Free

Keep in mind again that Low Magick is not less than High Magick in value, efficacy, or morality. Low Magick traditions involve a more intuitive approach to Magick as opposed to the intellectual approach of High Magick. There is emphasis on working with the natural or seasonal cycles and incorporating whichever natural resources happen to be growing in one’s backyard.

An example of Low Magick practice is a Wiccan practitioner who observes the waning and waxing moon in preparation for a baking session using Kitchen Magick. This Wiccan practitioner also observes and celebrates seasonal changes. Low Magick has traditionally been practiced by agriculturists who kept track of seasonal cycles for farming. It has also been practiced by those who were unable to access or read the texts required for High Magick. It is the magickal tradition of Pagans and dissenters of mainstream monotheistic religions. Traditions such as Shamanism, Witchcraft, Wicca, Eastern Mysticism, etc., fall under the Low Magick category.

These traditions tend to exalt The Goddess archetypes and are sometimes referred to as the Goddess Tradition. Light-workers who are of a more feminine, “earthy,” or “watery”—grounded and sensitive temperament, whether male or female, are likely to prefer Low Magick. Remember that Aleister Crowley suggests in Magick: Liber ABA, Book 4 that one with predominantly masculine, “fire,” or “air”—highly driven and intellectual energy, in the birth chart should incorporate more work with the feminine aspects of the psyche. Therefore, Low Magick traditions could serve a left-brain imbalanced rigid mind quite well.

Chaos Magick

Crowley Quote

The phrase Chaos Magick may sound alarming at first. It may conjure images of sorcery or the creation of mayhem, but this is not the case. Chaos Magick is simply a tradition of Magick which combines High and Low Magick. This tradition was conceived by Aleister Crowley and it works for the Light-worker who does not want to be bound by every last formality or detail of High Magick and who also does not want to simply go with the flow under Low Magick practices. Chaos Magick is for the Light-worker who would like to take an experimental approach to Magick, honoring some formalities from an array of traditions, while allowing the Intuition always to be a primary guide. A great way of understanding Chaos Magick is to think of it as a buffet or an “A La Carte” method– a little of this, a little of that.

An example of one who practices Chaos Magick is an individual who has a background in the Western Mystery Tradition, but who has also studied Tantric breath work, Qigong, Chakra-balancing, and the Native-American Medicine Wheel. This person develops a unique syncretic practice from a combination of these traditions. Other common examples of Chaos Magick Magi include Ordo Templi Orientis members, Thelemites, and independent Light-workers.

Conclusion

These definitions and classifications of Magick are important as an initial lesson for any Light-worker, because we need the appropriate moral and philosophical foundation on which to work and grow with Magick.

We must first know the difference between the three styles, or the moral basis of our Magick practice. If we cannot make the distinction between the Higher Self and the false self, which is driven by fear, or tell the difference between the True Will and lower will, then we may unknowingly continue to practice mere Gray Magick or even sorcery. We might cause harm to others through our ignorance if we don’t consciously choose a Magick style or do a periodic check-in and sanitation of the psyche.

We also want to understand the various modalities of Magick so that we may work with Magick swiftly and effectively, putting our intention into action with a deliberate approach and direction. With this understanding, we reduce the risk of falling for New Age wishful thinking, snake-oils, and other woo-woo practices that get us nowhere closer to results.

Finally, we must know the three traditions of Magick, so that we may find the right guidance from a school or organization or simply begin to trust our own inner guidance and the cycles of Nature. We might even choose a strategy that combines both paths.

Below are some resources for further study into Magick. Although the following teachers and lesson plans come highly recommended, make sure, as always, to exercise discernment to determine whether any of these teachings depart from Truth or Natural Law.

From the Horse’s Mouth

Let’s keep this article short and to the point. This post will impart the truth about the people who presume authority over you. I will introduce who they are and what they’re planning, for those who don’t already know. And, instead of hearing too many of my thoughts on the matter or any other researcher’s information, we will move swiftly into reading the words of some of these noteworthy characters themselves. But first, here are a few of my thoughts.

Most of us have been indoctrinated into believing that the only credible sources of information come from government institutions or the mainstream media. Whether it’s CNN, FOX, Associated Press, Reuters, your favorite podcast, your university, or even a TV commercial makes little difference to the average American as long as it appears to be an “official” or high-budget media source. The most loyal consumers of the mainstream media have a tendency to snub alternative media. They ignore independent research that clearly shows that dark occultists are running the show. And they dismiss knowledge of this sort no matter how scrupulous the research. This is why I would like to share information coming directly from these so-called “credible sources” and let you be the judge of that.

Another reason that so many people doubt the truth about these psychopaths is  because we often falsely attribute our own moral compass to anyone whose ostensible purpose is to “protect”  or to “govern” us. The idea that criminal activity ever goes beyond the street-level or that those in power occasionally shake hands and talk about how to cull the herd sounds ridiculous to those who have never bothered to investigate the facts. Most folks are so afraid to face this frightening darkness that they gladly dismiss these truths as the rantings of an idiot conspiracy theorist.

But, there is no need to take the tin-foil hat guy’s word for it. In this article, I don’t even ask you to heed the whistle-blower’s warning. Here it is…straight from the horse’s mouth.…

On Who "They" Are

Occult Knowledge Structure Transparent 2

“The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes.”

– Benjamin Disraeli, former British Statesman, in his novel Coningsby (1844)

“Let ME control a people’s currency and I care not who makes their laws.”

Meyer Nathaniel Rothschild, International Banker speaking to a group of international bankers (1912)

“Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”

Woodrow Wilson, The New Freedom Campaign (1913)

“The real menace of our republic is this invisible government, which like a giant octopus, sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self-created screen…At the head of this octopus, are the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses, generally referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They control both political parties…”

John F. Hylan, former Mayor of New York City, in his autobiography (1922)

“I don’t want a nation of thinkers; I want a nation of workers.”

– John D. Rockefeller, Founder of Standard Oil Company and the General Education Board, quoted in the book John D. Rockefeller On Making Money

“We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning or of science. We are not to raise up among them authors, orators, poets, or men of letters. We shall not search for embryo great artists, painters, musicians…”

– Frederick T. Gates, Business Advisor to John D. Rockefeller (Founder of General Education Board), in The Country School of Tomorrow  (1913)

“Fifty men have run America, and that’s a high figure.”

Joseph Kennedy, 44th U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, quoted in The New York Times (1936)

“There exists in our world today a powerful and dangerous secret cult— the cult of intelligence. Its holy men are the clandestine professionals of the CIA. Its patrons and protectors are the highest level government officials of the federal government. Its membership extending far beyond government circles, reaches into the power centers of industry, commerce, finance, and labor. Its friends are many in the areas of important public influence– the academic world and the communications media. The cult of intelligence is a secret fraternity of the American political aristocracy. The purpose of the cult is to further the foreign policies of the US government by covert and usually illegal means…”

Victor Marchetti, former CIA official in his book The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence (1974)

“…if the American people had ever known the truth about what we Bushes have done to this nation, we would be chased down in the streets and lynched.”

George H.W. Bush, 41st U.S. President in an interview with Sarah McClendon (1992)

“Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure– one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.

On Mind Control

Mind Control 17

“The business of the New York journalist is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon; to sell out his country and his race for his daily bread. We are the tools and vessels for rich men behind the scenes. We are intellectual prostitutes.”

John Swinton, former Editor of the New York Times at a press banquet (1880)

To play those millions of minds, to watch them slowly respond to an unseen stimulus, to guide their aspirations without their knowledge– all this whether in high capacities or in humble, is a big and endless game of chess, of ever extraordinary excitement.”

Sidney Webb, Co-Founder of the Fabian Society

“…we are dominated by a relatively small number of persons, a trifling fraction of our hundred and twenty million, who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind, and who harness social forces and contrive new ways to bind and guide the world.”

Edward Bernays, of CBS Comm. Network in his book Propaganda (1928)

“The individual is handicapped, by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst. It rejects even the assumption that human creatures could espouse a philosophy which must ultimately destroy all that is good and decent!”

J. Edgar Hoover, former FBI Director in an interview with The Elks Magazine (1956)

“Shortly, the public will be unable to reason or think for themselves. They’ll only be able to parrot the information they’ve been given on the previous night’s news.”

Zbigniew Brzezinski, former National Security Advisor of the U.S., Between Two Ages (1970)

“Military men are just dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.”

Henry R. Kissinger, 56th U.S. Secretary of State, quoted in The Final Days by Woodward B. and Bernstein C. (1976)

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”

David Rockefeller, former Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations, Founder of the Trilateral Commission and the Club of Rome (1991)

National Socialism will use its own revolution for the establishing of a new world order!”

Adolf Hitler, Chancellor of the German Reich

“We shall have world government whether or not you like it, by conquest or consent.”

“The Technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by elite, unrestrained by traditional values.”

Zbigniew Brzezinski, former National Security Advisor of the U.S. in Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technetronic Era (1978)

“We have before us the opportunity to forge for ourselves and for future generations a new world order, a world where the rule of law, not the law of the jungle, governs the conduct of nations. When we are successful, and we will be, we have a real chance at this new world order, an order in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promise and vision of the UN founder.”

George H. W. Bush, 41st U.S. President, during Operation Desert Storm, broadcast by CNN correspondents (1991)

“In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasn’t such a great idea after all.”

Strobe Talbott, 12th U.S. Deputy Secretary of State in TIME Magazine (1992)

“We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the new world order.”

David Rockefeller, former Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations, Founder of the Trilateral Commission and the Club of Rome at a UN Dinner (1994)

“We are not going to achieve a new world order without paying for it in blood as well as in words and money.”

Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., Historian, in Foreign Affairs Magazine (1995)

“[The crisis in the Persian Gulf] is a rare opportunity to move toward a historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times, a new world order can emerge.”

10 Occult Symbols in Corporate Logos

The average person encounters thousands of ads and corporate logos per day. Embedded within these designs is the deliberate placement of rhythm, color, and light that work in profound ways within the subconscious human mind. And, people rarely consider the potent effect these patterns have on their purchasing habits and even the ideologies that they accept.

Additionally, what often escapes us are the occult origins of many of these symbols. When confronted with such symbols, we assume that they are mere trivial and shallow designs, the somewhat arbitrary products of graphic designers trying to appeal to customers. Many people are unaware of the deeper, often astrological, meanings behind these sigils.

These occult symbols are used in advertising with good reason. They speak to us on a deep emotional and psychological level and the folks in the marketing departments are certainly well-aware of that. The following is a list of some of the most popular motifs used in corporate advertising.

10. Ram Horns

The Ram Horns of Aries

Most people never consider the meaning of the familiar golden arches of McDonald’s because it’s just a giant M, right? This fast-food logo is actually a prime example of Aries symbolism at work. In astrology, Aries is the first house of the zodiac and this archetype of the ram is ruled by the planet Mars— the god of war.

The reason for the popularity of the ram horns symbol is that the Fire sign Aries is representative of action, willpower, excitement, and passion— qualities that incite the act of making a purchase. The colors associated with Mars and Aries are usually red, yellow, and black. Incidentally, warm colors such as red and yellow are known by psychologists to stimulate hunger and a sense of urgency. It’s safe to say that the ad people at McDonald’s made an excellent choice in crafting the color scheme for their logo, as do many other fast-food logo designers.

The first month of the astrological year is the month of Aries and this concept of the first month of the year shows up in the names of other corporate entities that use Aries symbolism in their logos— Mazda and Nissan. These car companies’ names mean “first month of the year” in their respective languages and they both use either the ram horns or the Mars symbol in their designs. Yet another car brand that uses the ram horns in their logo is Dodge Ram. These car companies are trying to show us that our inner warriors will be ignited when we drive their vehicles.

9. The Bull

Merril Lynch

The second constellation and house of the astrological year is Taurus, the bull. In astrology, this zodiac sign is ruled by the planet Venus, which tends toward love, attraction, abundance, and material resources.

Since Taurus is a sign involving wealth and prosperity, corporations like Merrill Lynch capitalize on that idea by using the symbol of the bull in their logo. What they are trying to communicate is that customers’ finances will be in good hands by doing business with them.

Another meaning of the Taurus bull is patience and steadfastness. The bull is a slow-moving grazing creature. It is for this reason that Red Bull and Lamborghini use the bull in their logos. Red Bull’s message to consumers is that we may emerge energized from our slow and lethargic state by drinking their product. Lamborghini is  telling us that we might become as stimulated as a Spanish bullfighter by driving their sports cars.

8. The Maiden

Columbia Pictures

What do Columbia Pictures, Columbia Records, and Arista Records all share in common?—Virgo symbolism. Virgo, the maiden or the virgin archetype, is the sixth sign of the zodiac. It is an Earth sign ruled by the intelligent planet Mercury and the messenger of the gods, Hermes.

As an Earth sign, the virgin maiden is an archetype of good nutrition, health, daily work, and routines. It’s also related to the end of summer and harvest season. This is why the Virgo maiden is often depicted holding a bundle of wheat. Many health food products use variations of Virgo symbolism in their logos. Some of which are the Gaia or Mother Earth symbols.

As a Mercurial sign, the maiden is related to analytical thought processes and the distribution of messages from higher realms. Columbia Pictures thoughtfully selected the image of the maiden for use in their branding to convey their ostensible role in distributing such glorious messages. Even the use of the word Columbia is associated with this innocent archetype of the virgin because, in its etymological roots, it means dove, a symbol of love, innocence, and purity. Arista records also picked up on this idea by using the word Arista in their brand. Arista (or Spica) is the brightest star in the Virgo constellation. These media corporations purport to be sending us an important message through the maiden.

7. Vesica Pisces

MasterCard

The Vesica Pisces, or “bladder of the fish,” is the symbol of the Water sign Pisces, the twelfth sign of the zodiac. This symbol of sacred geometry is formed with two intersecting circles that form a rudimentary womb symbol. The womb, of course, represents fertility, creation, and generation.

As a symbol of the womb, the Vesica Pisces can be quite a powerful emotional trigger for the subconscious mind, making it a successful go-to in advertising. Some corporations whose logos utilize Vesica Pisces symbolism are Mastercard, Chanel, and Kool cigarettes, Audi, and various Christian merchandise brands (e.g. the Jesus fish decal).

6. The Moon

Safeway

Concerning products for the home and family such as the goods that Safeway Food and Drug carry, designers need to make their brands appear safe and reliable. A great way to achieve such branding is by implementing lunar symbolism to their logos.

Cancer is the fourth house of the zodiac, ruled by the moon. The Cancer archetype is that of the nurturing caring and protective mother. In pagan traditions, she is called the goddess or the sacred feminine archetype. This zodiac sign is about the home, safety, and protection.

Taking a closer look at the Safeway grocery store logo, the outline of the Cancer symbol can be readily seen within the red portion of the logo. Another brand that uses Cancer symbolism in their branding is Blue Moon beer. The use of the word moon in this beer tells us that this is no ordinary beer; this is a fine craft beverage to enjoy within the comfort of our homes.

5. Freemasonry

Freemasonry Border

One only has to compare prominent big tech advertising with that of the Freemasons to realize the heavy masonic presence within the corporate world. The Freemasons are part of a fraternal arcane school that has beginnings in 1717 with the erection of the Grand Lodge of England.

A sacred symbol of this group is the square and compass of the architect and this symbol pops up in logos such as the Apple App Store and Acura. Upon comparison of the Facebook logo with the masons’ symbol of Tubal Cain, there are striking similarities all the way down to details such as the Facebook thumbs-up symbol and its likeness in the Tubal Cain. Gmail as well appears to be a stylized version of the Royal Arch Apron of the masons. We can also look to the names of corporations for possible associations with the masons. They refer to their work as “the craft.” Could the Heinz corporation of Kraft food brands also be involved in Freemasonry?

4. The Chakras

7Up 2

Symbolism of the Vedic chakra system shows up in corporate advertising as well. The chakra system involves seven primary energy centers along a central meridian in the body. It is thought that when these chakras are contracted or compromised, that this leads to imbalances in various aspects of being.

The refreshing fizzy drink, 7 Up, that many of us remember from childhood, may have had an esoteric reason behind its appeal.  Typically, when meditating upon the 7 chakras, one begins with focus at the base of the spine and progresses up towards the crown. Hence the reason behind the smart marketing of this soda pop drink.

Each of the chakras is associated with one of the colors of the rainbow. So, in addition to using color psychology in logo design, designers often choose colors with the chakras in mind. It’s no accident that almost every fast-food chain embraces the colors red and yellow in their schemas. Not only do these colors increase appetite, but they are the colors of the lower chakras, including the stomach.

3. The Archer

Remy Martin scaled

Another of the twelve zodiac signs is Sagittarius, corresponding to the archetype of the archer and the symbol of the arrow. The archer is ruled by the planet Jupiter, which leads the way towards outward growth, expansion, and change. Other qualities associated with Sagittarius are optimism, philosophical pursuits, and the desire to learn through travel and new experiences.

Since, the archer and the arrow are symbols of adventure and exciting travel experience, the ad people of travel agencies love using this sort of symbolism. Take a look at hotel and flight-booking businesses and notice that the more popular of these companies employ arrow symbolism. From Orbitz, Expedia, and Hotwire to Remy Martin cognac, the archer can be seen cleverly embedded within the logos, letting consumers know that they can hope to become world-travelers and philosophers themselves with these brands.

2. Saturn

Nike 3

Saturn symbolism takes on a few variations in form, but that doesn’t make it any less popular in advertising. From stylized Saturn rings symbols to the more esoteric hexagon and black cube symbols, Saturn makes a heavy appearance in mainstream media. In ancient and classical esoterica of many cultural traditions, Saturn worship was prevalent in agricultural societies who both feared and eagerly awaited rewards from “the Black Sun.”

The reason that the hexagon is often associated with the planet Saturn is because there exists a permanent hexagon-shaped storm on the north pole of Saturn. The black cube is associated with this planet because a 2D image of a cube is also a hexagon shape. The absence of color is symbolic of Saturn’s governance over darker matters such as time, death, and decay.

Taking a look around at Saturnian symbolism found in corporate brands from the Saturn car, Nike, DirecTV, Internet Explorer, Capital One, Boeing, etc. (the list goes on and on), it becomes clear the the Cult of the Black Sun is alive and well in present day…not to mention the black cube monuments that are found in major cities around the globe, including the United Nations worship center.

1. The Sun

Corona Light

Of the most powerful symbolism known to corporate marketing departments is solar symbolism. This is because the sun represents humankind’s highest desires— energy, spirituality, sovereignty, and Truth. Corporate industries that use solar symbolism to their advantage range from banking, shopping centers, food, beer, oil, and more.

Food and oil companies, in particular, love using symbolism of the sun. Food and grocery store brands such as Dole and ShopRite use the sun in their logos because the sun reminds us of the energy needed for their plant-based products to thrive. Oil brands such as Sunoco, Shell, and BP Oil all use solar symbolism as it is suggestive to customers of the energy they will receive at the pump.

Another popular market for solar symbolism is beer. Many beers promote themselves with the concept of light (e.g. Bud  Light). Rather than use words such as diet, or low-carb, these brands deliberately display the word Light atop their golden beverages to convey to consumers that they could expect to receive some enlightenment with their products.

The Real Meaning of Satanism

In my previous post called The Occult: Hidden Knowledge, I de-mystified the word occult. I explained that the word occult has nothing to do with what most people think it relates to. Similarly, Satanism is a word that attracts many false perceptions. When people think of Satanism, they imagine a quaint religion that rebellious former-Christian teenagers practice. They imagine that this religion has something to do with an anthropomorphic demon figure or that it is about wearing black clothing while practicing rituals in the woods late at night. I am here to tell people that, at its core, Satanism has very little to do with any of these superficialities. It is an ideology that many people are unaware that they practice on a daily basis. These are de-facto (in-deed) Satanists.

Baphomet Symbol

Before I reveal the meaning of Satanism, let me first share a personal anecdote about my intro to this religion. When I was in high school, a close family member decided to abandon Christianity to become a Satanist. Curious, I picked up a copy of the Satanic Bible for myself.  I hesitated, wondering if I were committing some sort of sin just by reading it. I expected to uncover instructions on twisted rituals or demon-summoning. But, I was wrong. While demon-summoning instruction did make an appearance in the book, most of the literature seemed rather benign. I was surprised to find that Satanism actually sounded reasonable. The more I read, the more I thought that this could be the perfect religion for the Atheist, materialist, or hedonist who feels a missing out of religious rite.  Upon finishing the last page of the book, I thought, “to each their own” and continued on my own ill-guided quest for knowledge and meaning, not realizing that I might have been a de-facto Satanist myself.

I eventually studied other false religious traps ranging from the New Age all the way to cold scientific materialism and Atheism. Earlier in my search, I found myself consistently annoyed by several unanswered questions. One of the more nagging questions was whether I could be sure that other people even existed. This led me to a contorted ideology called Solipsism.  And this ideology is one of the main worldviews propagated by Satanists. It is the false notion that one’s own experience is the only reality that can be sure to exist, that the workings of the external world cannot be known, and therefore, that Truth is subjective.

Solipsism:

From the Latin adjective solus: “alone” and the Latin pronoun ipse: “self. The belief that only one’s mind is sure to exist. Solipsists contend that, since knowledge outside one’s own mind is unsure, that there is no such thing as objective truth.

I later uncovered more knowledge on the topic of Satanism. Here are the basics: In San Francisco 1966, Anton Szandor LaVey founded the Church of Satan. But LaVey did not create Satanism. He merely propelled this religion out into the mainstream as a vetting system for the masses. I won’t go into much detail here on who is behind this system (more on The Dark Occult in future content). Suffice it to say that Satanism is ancient and could also be referred to as Dark Luciferianism or the Cult of the Black Sun, amongst other names. Although, most participants do not refer to it by any name.

Cult of the Black Cube Transparent

One must remember that names such as the Cult of the Black Sun or the Church of Satan are merely symbols. The ideology behind these symbols is what is important. Let’s understand Satanism in the apophatic (through negation) way first. After all, de-facto Satanists do not realize that they are indeed Satanists because they do not necessarily involve themselves in any of the religious trappings, rituals, or aesthetics– none of which have anything to do with the core ideology being propagated by Satanist. The peddlers of Satanism or the Cult of the Black Cube were brilliantly cunning in assigning this religion its contemporary name. This label of Satanism gives the impression of just another quaint religion. As a result, many Satanists, as I’ve explained, do not realize that they are practitioners of this religion.

This is what Satanism is not: Satanism has nothing whatever to do with the devil of the Christian religion. It scarcely has relevance within the Church of Satan, the Temple of Set, or the Order of the Evil Eye. Satan is not a red devil-man or any other evil mythological figure to be worshipped.

This is the Real Meaning of Satanism: The word Satan comes from the Hebrew word שָׂטָן, meaning adversary. Satan is an adversary, an opponent, an inversion of Truth, a perversion of morality, a quality of flipping upside-down, and an attempt to bend Natural Law. Satanism is the embodiment of these adversarial forces. It is about Subjective Morality; Humans get to make up what is right and wrong as they see fit.

Satanism is a religion of selfishness. Its adherents do not want to worship a god such as Satan; They want to be God themselves. The practitioner of Satanism considers only the well-being and preservation of oneself. To practice this religion is to exist in pure ego and base-consciousness. And, the some of the most direct paths towards the state of de-facto Satanic unconsciousness include moral relativism, solipsism, materialism, nihilism, ignorance, and apathy.

The Four Main Tenets of Modern Satanism

  1. Egotism: Service-to-self is life’s highest goal.

  1. Moral Relativism: Right and wrong are whatever human beings say they are.

  1. Social Darwinism: The most dominant and cruel humans should become the Masters and rule humanity.

  1. Eugenics: The Masters should determine who is allowed to live and who must die.

For further study on this topic, I recommend reading The Satanic Bible and The Cult of the Black Cube. I also suggest watching De-Mystifying the Occult – Part 2: Satanism and the Dark Occult by Mark Passio, a former priest of this religion. To hear about the Satanic agenda of eugenics straight from Anton LaVey’s daughter and her associates, watch this compilation entitled Satanism – The Basics

Left Brain, Right Brain

On the journey to self-discovery, or The Fool’s Journey, a basic understanding of the structure and functions of the brain is absolutely necessary for one to begin to know the self and to awaken in consciousness. The brain plays the role of the antenna in consciousness, and just as the brain is bilaterally symmetrical, consciousness can either be divided or balanced. Although there is much debate in the world of neuroscience as to whether one hemisphere of the brain can dominate over the other, I have little doubt that consciousness can be divided, at the very least, into a qualitative “left-brained” or “right-brained” state. And since mind control is often employed through polarization dialectics, people are easily manipulated as a result of this schism in consciousness. Read on to gain a preliminary understanding of your brain’s physiology.

Triune Brain with Border

The three components of the triune brain are the R-complex, the limbic system, and the neocortex. The R-complex, also known as the “reptile brain” is the oldest and lowest level of the brain— the stem, the base, the foundation. The stem of the brain is connected to the spine and the cerebellum. The R-complex controls motor skills and primitive behaviors such as eating, sleeping, and the fight-or-flight mechanism which is used for survival. When one is in fight-or-flight mode (or stress), the heart pumps blood away from the torso and the head. This means that if one is in a chronic state of stress, the vital organs of the body do not receive oxygenated blood. High-level thinking is not possible during survival mode and you are not going to engage in deep conceptual or philosophical thought during these times. Unfortunately, many people in modern society are in a constant state of stress or fight-or-flight response. And, unlike our ancestors, we are not using this brain function because we are being confronted with wild animals. We are instead living in a continuous state of base consciousness because of many imaginary problems of the modern world.

The next part of the brain to have evolved in humans is the limbic system, also known as the paleomammalian complex or the midbrain. The limbic system governs the chemical interactions through which we experience our emotions. This is known in esoteric terms as the Sacred Feminine principle. It is also known as the Middle Chamber. The limbic system is our emotional guidance system which allows us to feel happiness, love, and care. It also allows for the “negative,” yet necessary emotions such as anger when an injustice occurs or sadness when we are faced with a loss.

The newest evolved part of the brain is the neocortex, or the grey matter of the telencephelon. It is the executive command center of the brain that governs higher-order thinking. As such, this is the part of the brain that gives us our distinctive human qualities. The neocortex is bilaterally symmetrical, divided into the left brain hemisphere and the right brain hemisphere. Although the two hemispheres work in conjunction, they each govern their own respective ways of thinking.

Left Brain Hemisphere

The left side of the brain is archetypally, the masculine, solar, yang side of the brain, which might best be symbolized with the phallic blade symbol and the color red. It is largely responsible for governing the intellect, narrow and linear thought, analytical thought, and the ability to conduct science and to comprehend mathematics.

When one exists chronically in a state of left brain imbalance, consciousness becomes driven by the R-complex. This can lead to rigid skepticism, “scientism”, atheism, authoritarianism, and “master-think”.

Right Brain Hemisphere

The right side of the brain is archetypally characterized as the feminine, lunar, yin side of the brain, which could be symbolized by the chalice symbol of the womb and the color blue. It is largely responsible for intuition, creativity, compassion, and big-picture holistic thought.

When the right brain hemisphere is continually engaged in an imbalanced way, the limbic brain takes over. One becomes naive, subject to blind belief, religious extremism, escapism, fantasy, and “slave-think”.

The Brain and Consciousness 1

People who exist in states of left brain imbalance, right brain imbalance, or both (through compartmentalization), are subject to manipulative polarization dialectics (e.g. religion vs. atheism or left vs. right politics). These mind-control tactics are like child’s play for those employing such techniques over the ignorant masses who have zero knowledge of their own minds. Individuals who are living in a constant state of left brain imbalance are likely to exhibit domineering, controlling, and even psychopathic traits. These left-brained individuals are prime candidates for the police, military, and government. They keep others in line with the ruling class agenda. Conversely, the right-brained individuals are those who are likely to fall for religion, New Age thought, and escapism. These are the people who do nothing about the injustices occurring in the world.

I hope that the reader now knows the significance of understanding brain functionality. There is a reason that the ancient Egyptians created the Eye of Horus, that Michelangelo painted The Creation of Adam, and that the Masons constructed the First Degree Tracing Board which depicts a checkered base and three pillars. What this esoteric art all shares in common is symbolism of the human brain. The neocortex of the human brain is an advanced computer that is sitting right behind our eyes. Imagine the power that is accessible to us through a balanced brain. When we achieve balance of the two brain hemispheres, we are able to harmonize logic, reason, and scientific thinking with emotion, intuition, and creativity on the way to illumination.

The Cult of Carnism

It may sound extreme to some that I call the common practice of eating meat the “cult of carnism,” but if you are truly honest with yourself, you will realize that a cult is exactly what it is. Humans do not naturally want to partake in the torture and mutilation of animals. However, because society as a whole participates in animal slaughter and because our parents, schools, TVs, grocery stores, and restaurants all promote these atrocities as normalcy, the average person rarely thinks twice about his/her indoctrination into this cult. People are loathe to hear or admit to the truth about their immoral behavior. Here are the main justifications for this cult that I often hear:

The Ignorance and Apathy Justification- “I’m not going to educate myself on the matter because it’s too unpleasant to pay attention to it.” or “I don’t have time to worry about them.”

Well, if we don’t understand the problem, we are powerless to change it.

The “Natural Order” Justification- “They kill each other, so why shouldn’t we do the same?,” “Our ancestors evolved from eating animals,” or “We’re just another animal.”

If this were the case, why not just roast a human baby? After all, animals do engage in that behavior. I’ll tell you the reason that we don’t partake in such extreme “survival-of-the-fittest” behavior: Humans have a higher capacity for empathy and morality  than animals do and it would be patently absurd to believe that we should “stoop to their level” or not care about them.

The False Religion Justification- “God gave us dominion over them.”

“Then God said, ‘Behold, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit contains seed. They will be yours for food.’” – Genesis 1:29

The Double-Speak Justification- “I only eat animals that are killed ‘humanely.’”

Would you think it humane if someone decided to slice your throat open or put a bullet to your head?

The Separation Worldview Justification- “They are not as conscious or intelligent as we are, so it’s alright.”

One question: Have you ever had a pet?

No Justification- “But bacon!,” “I love a good steak,” or “I need meat for my health.”

The Truth—selfishness

Ask the following questions: Are their lives my property? Do I have the right to take another being’s life? I am proposing behavioral change here and I know that will make many readers deeply uncomfortable, but here is my suggestion: In order to unlock True Care in yourself, I strongly recommend watching the documentary film Earthlings.  I cannot applaud this film enough for exposing everyday dark truths that will cause you to feel ashamed to be a part of humanity in its current condition. Documentaries such as Earthlings or Dominion are meant to elicit a visceral response of repulsion, which is the proper emotion to feel when one sees another being slaughtered.

Many readers will be tempted to use the “Ignorance and Apathy Justification” and refuse to watch the film because they already know how unpleasant the experience will be, but ignorance will not promote positive change. Learn to get comfortable with discomfort once in a while. Muster up the willpower to experience a dash of necessary discomfort so that you may come to understand the unimaginable suffering that we are causing billions of innocent beings every year without pause.

We tolerate the ritual sacrifice and slavery of these sentient beings who are “beneath” us, and so it is of course no wonder that we  fall so easily into positions of slavery ourselves like putty in the hands of our masters.

Make no mistake. Carnism is a dogmatic religion, a cult which binds and enslaves. It is my cotention that humankind will never be truly free as a species until the majority activates the key to Freedom– the 8th Principle of Care. True Freedom means no master above, but also no slave below and you have to care in order to change that dynamic.

In addition to watching Earthlings, check out jofrederiksart.com for powerful artwork on the subject of animal slavery.

Magick Vs. Sorcery

As a new initiate of the occult world, a good place to start is to learn the two applications of occult knowledge– Magick and Sorcery. The definitions of each are as follows:

Magick: The Science and Art of influencing change to occur in accordance with the Will.

Sorcery: The Science and Art of influencing change to occur in accordance with the will.

Read those definitions again, if necessary, and notice that the difference between these two practices involves the will. The intention of Magick involves the Higher Will that is in alignment with Natural Law, whereas the goal of Sorcery involves the lower will of the ego.

For those who think that Magick and Sorcery don’t apply to them, let me de-mystify the subject. Think about the many corporate logos and sigils that are littered throughout all urban areas of the world and which stream through screens and into human consciousness with forceful persistence. Consider the enormous power these symbols have in influencing billions of people to buy products that they did not want. Now, imagine a legislator who wears a ceremonial suit-and-tie costume, who, with the stroke of a pen, is able to dictate law out of thin air and command entire populations to follow his/her will. These are examples of Sorcery. I will leave the possibilities of Magick to your imagination.

Natural Law

Natural Law is the most deeply occulted topic in the world and it is also the most important truth to understand because these laws govern the consequences of behavior. Under various traditions, Natural Law goes by other names including Consequentialism, Cosmic Law, God’s Law, Golden Rule, Karma, Law of Attraction, Law of Cause and Effect, Moral Law, and Universal Law.

Let’s break down the meaning of Natural Law.

Nature: Inherent; having a basis in Nature; not made or caused by humankind.

Law: An existing condition which is binding and immutable (cannot be changed).

In other words, Natural Law is Truth. Truth is objective and exists independent from human perception. It is unwavering, immutable, and rooted in Nature. Truth is that which has occurred in the past and that which is occurring in the present. Conversely, perception is subjective and depends on the wavering views of the individual being.

The reason that it is imperative that the new inititate of the occult understands Natural Law is because these laws govern, not only the physical laws of Nature, but also the spiritual laws of Nature, directing the consequences of human behavior. Therefore, to understand Natural Law is to understand morality and right action. A right is something that is correct or based in Truth and Natural Law. A wrong is something that is incorrect and is not based in Truth or Natural Law.

The simplest way to understand what human rights are is to understand what human rights are not. The Natural Law wrongs or transgressions as I understand them are as follows: murder, assault, rape, trespass, theft, coercion, and willful deceit. These transgressions are the real seven-deadly sins and they are all forms of theft. Murder is the theft of life, assault is the theft of bodily well-being, rape is the theft of free-will sexual association, trespass is the theft of security in another’s living quarters, theft is the taking of property, coercion is the theft of free-will choice, and willful deceit or lying is the concealment or theft of accurate information. In identifying what actions are wrong or incorrect in this apophatic way, we can then identify what actions are rights. Any action that does not involve theft is a Natural Law right

While these truths are self-evident, the mechanism of Natural Law is discoverable through the observation of cause and effect. A quick look through history provides overwhelming evidence that Natural Law morality is directly proportional to the amount of freedom in human society (e.g. the eugenics of Nazi Germany, the Ukrainian Holodomor, etc.). In order to expedite your understanding of Natural Law, it is essential that you watch the Natural Law Seminar by Mark Passio of whatonearthishappening.com. You could also listen to the What On Earth is Happening Podcast in order, starting with Episode #1. Another suggestion is The Kybalion, a book that is thought to appear when the student is ready. Additionally, look into the philosophies of Consequentialism, Golden Rule, and Karma as well as the Arcana page of my website.

The Occult: Hidden Knowledge

There is a widespread and false perception surrounding the occult realm of knowledge. If you ask a few people in your life what word they first associate with the word occult, they will likely respond with the word evil or some variation thereof. A cursory internet search of the occult will conjure imagery of inverted pentagrams and dark sorcery. However, the true meaning of the occult is not mystical at all. It simply means hidden knowledge

The word occult is derived from the Latin adjective occultus: “hidden from sight,”  from the Latin verb occultare: “to hide; to conceal; to keep secret,” and from the Latin noun oculus: “eye.”

One can see that, through this obfuscation of meaning, the very word occult itself has been occulted (or hidden from sight). Those who have hidden such knowledge seek to create a power differential between themselves and the ignorant masses who have little to no understanding of it.

What information or hidden knowledge, then, does the occult comprise? The occult consists of two bodies of knowledge:

             1. The Minor Arcana: the microcosmic world of the human psyche

             2. The Major Arcana: the macrocosmic world of the physical and spiritual laws of Nature

Understand that occult knowledge is not about otherworldly or supernatural phenomena. Here is a mundane example of occult knowledge: A billboard displays a fast-food ad that contains a thinly disguised astrological symbol in colors that are known to increase appetite. The designers of that ad were in possession of occult knowledge of the microcosm, the human psyche. The study of the occult allows an individual to level the playing field between themselves and the few occultist of the world. Please join me in the uncovering of information, symbolism, and art.
